Arthur McKinley

Arthur McKinley is an optical physicist and entrepreneur, founder and President of Zibra Corporation (www.zibracorp.com), a premier design and build firm offering small-bore fiberscopes and digital scopes both off-the-shelf and on an OEM/private label basis for medical and veterinary endoscopy, and for industrial non-destructive testing.  Mr. McKinley has designed and built visualization technology supporting  spinal procedures,  pain management, ACL knee repairs and retinal laser surgery (using a scope smaller than a 27 gauge hypodermic needle).  He has also supported research projects at MIT, NASA, the U.S. and Canadian Departments of Energy and elsewhere.

Mr. McKinley has worked with virtually every form of arthroscope available for minimally-invasive spinal and joint diagnostic and therapeutic applications, from traditional gradient index scopes to fiber-based needlescopes to digital technology. He will discuss and demonstrate a range of arthroscopic technologies, giving attendees opportunities for hands-on testing as desired.  Session will be ideal for orthopedists and for biotechnology companies offering orthopedic devices and implants who are seeking better visualization technology and want to understand the full range of options, including cost-effective OEM or private-label single-use or reusable scopes custom-designed to their specifications.
